I was writing down things I’m grateful for at Adoration today. After “all the beauty in my life” I wrote…the books I could read. This led to the clothes I could wear, the puzzles I could do, the games I could play, my dad’s pool I could swim in, the gym equipment I could use, the audiobooks I could listen to, the tennis and golf equipment I could use… and so on. So many options…
I started thinking about a depth year. You could read the linked post below for some great ideas to ponder. Or here’s a quick summary: It’s not acquiring new possessions or hobbies, but rather pursuing the things you’ve already started, or using what you already own. It’s about going deeper rather than wider.
Instead of a year, why not start with this summer? It’s July 1st. I have two whole months to try it out before the more structured fall begins.
Trust me, this goes along with slowing down, minimalism, setting limits… and other topics I’ve discussed here before. Maybe time management? For now, I’m just putting it out here.
